Those early journals didn’t mention a desire for a business career, but somewhere along the way I realized that if I wanted to travel I needed a steady income. I decided to study business whether I liked it or not. Luckily I did! That shouldn’t have been a shock as I’d always liked numbers. At twelve I was a card-counting Black Jack shark, lightening the wallets of whoever I could entice to play. In my career as a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator, and investment banker the hours were definitely not nine to five. I should have been more specific with my earlier goals! Now my focus is to make business concepts readable and entertaining.
