About Me

I’ve written in a journal since I was ten years old and saved every one. Revisiting them I chuckle at my childish scribbles, shed a tear for my teenaged tragedies, and relive more recent adventures. What surprises me most is how little I’ve changed. I was fourteen when I wrote, “I want to be a writer, travel the world, and not work nine to five. Although I took a long, but enjoyable detour through the business world, now, years later, that’s what I’m doing. “Write what you know,” is good advice, but “Write what you’re passionate about,” is even better. For me that’s travel, business, and volunteering.

My writing has been published in The Globe & Mail, The Huffington Post, Post Media publications including The Vancouver Sun and Province, The Journal of Business Valuation, BC Shipping News, and the Richmond News. I’m excited to announce that my first book, The Ask: How Much is a Small Business Worth? is available on Amazon and in selected book stores.

I am also a graduate of the 2021 SFU Writer’s Studio. One of the best things I came away from the course with is becoming part of a writing community and a writing group that continues to meet and support each other.
